    Significant precipitation has caused rapid water level rise along water ways and in low-lying areas. Floodwaters move swiftly, posing serious risks to life and property. Overland flooding is occurring or imminent in multiple locations in western Manitoba. Many roads have been damaged from flood waters and are unsafe.

    • Travel is not recommended. This is a dangerous situation. Crews are responding but it may be necessary to shelter in place. For additional information call your local municipality or watch local media for updates. For emergencies call 911.

    Orange warning - rainfall - in effect Very heavy rain is expected. Moderate rainfall continues to linger across portions of western Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan. The rain will continue to ease heading into Tuesday evening. ### Localized flooding is likely. Some roads may become impassable. Utility outages are likely. Significant property damage is likely.     Update - Overland Flood Warning issued by Hydrologic Forecast Centre

    Hydrologic Forecast Centre has increased the alert to an Overland Flood Warning due to significant rain forecast for western Manitoba. Rainfall amounts of 60-100 mm is possible for these areas between June 29 and July 2. Heavy rainfall over a short period may lead to high surface runoff and overland flooding.

    • Western Manitoba including the Parkland Region, Upper Assiniboine River basin, Shellmouth Reservoir, Little Saskatchewan, Birdtail, Valley, Vermillion, Shell and Swan river basins
    • Be aware and exercise caution near waterways in the affected area. Do not attempt to cross fast flowing waters or waters of unknown depth. Avoid flooded areas.
