Thunderstorms may produce erratic outflow gusts up to 50 mph. By Saturday morning, most thunderstorms are expected to produce wetting rains. * AFFECTED AREA...In Idaho, Fire Weather Zones 400 Northern Boise BLM, 420 Treasure Valley BLM, 423 Owyhee Mountains, 424 Western Twin Falls BLM and 426 Southern Highlands. In Oregon, Fire Weather Zones 670 Burns BLM, 671 Steens Mountain, 672 Southern Grasslands, 673 Central Canyonlands and 674 Northwestern Vale BLM. * TIMING...Until 6 AM MDT /5 AM PDT/ Saturday. * THUNDERSTORMS...Scattered coverage with abundant lightning. * OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusty erratic winds up to *50 mph*. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly.     At 725 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Owyhee to near Slocum Creek Campground. Movement was east at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust possible. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Parma, Homedale, Wilder, Greenleaf, Notus, Adrian, Board Corral Mountain, Succor Creek Campground, and Owyhee Reservoir.

    • Lower Treasure Valley; Owyhee Mountains; Malheur County; Oregon Lower Treasure Valley
    • If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
