This is a Manitoba Emergency Alert. Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure's Hydrologic Forecast Centre has issued an Overland Flood Watch due to forecast precipitation for parts of Manitoba. A system may bring in excess of 80 mm of precipitation for parts of Western Manitoba on June 27 to June 30. Heavy rainfall over a short period may lead to high surface runoff and overland flooding. Western and Northwestern Manitoba, including the Parkland Region and the Saskatchewan and Assiniboine River basins.
If you are in the affected area, be mindful of local waterways. Do not attempt to cross fast flowing waters or waters of unknown depth. Avoid flooded areas. Follow all directions by local authorities. Listen for updates. Take all necessary precautions to stay safe.
