orange warning - rainfall - in effect

    Od: 26.06.2026., 10:56
    Do: 27.06.2026., 02:56

Orange warning - rainfall - in effect Heavy rain this weekend will bring total amounts of 40 to 70 mm. Scattered showers and thunderstorms tonight will become a broad area of heavy rain by Saturday morning. The rain will continue through the weekend with the heaviest rain on Saturday. Some areas may see more rain continuing into next week, but confidence is low at this time. With the ground already saturated from the storm this past weekend and rainfall totals for the month of June well above normal, additional rain is likely to cause overland flooding, washouts, and impacts to infrastructure and property. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected], call 1-800-239-0484 or post reports on X using #ABStorm.

    • Be prepared for severe weather. If threatening weather approaches, take cover in a basement or interior room. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. When thunder roars, go indoors! Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.
