    Flood Watch for Barkly

    från: 2026-03-15, 11:07
    till: 2026-03-16, 17:07

FLOODING OCCURRING IN PARTS OF FLOOD WATCH AREA WITH FURTHER FLOODING POSSIBLE A tropical low situated in northern Western Australia is feeding rich tropical moisture along a surface trough to its south east, generating widespread rainfall across the eastern Kimberley, Victoria River and parts of Sturt Creek District. An upper trough is also passing through southern Western Australia. These features will combine to generate widespread moderate to heavy rainfall to Central, Western and Eastern Inland areas during Sunday and into the new week. Catchments in the Flood Watch area are wet from recent rainfall. Forecast rainfall may cause further significant water level rises in rivers and creeks, as well as prolonged overland flooding and ponding. Roads may become impassable. Some communities and homesteads may become isolated. Check road conditions before travelling.
