    THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 528 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN COLORADO THIS WATCH INCLUDES 11 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL COLORADO ELBERT LINCOLN IN NORTHEAST COLORADO ADAMS ARAPAHOE DOUGLAS LOGAN MORGAN PHILLIPS SEDGWICK WASHINGTON WELD THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AKRON, AURORA, CASTLE ROCK, CENTENNIAL, ELIZABETH, FORT MORGAN, GREELEY, HOLYOKE, JULESBURG, KIOWA, LIMON, PARKER, STERLING, THORNTON, WESTMINSTER, AND WINDSOR.

    * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Colorado, including the following areas: all of Logan, Washington, Morgan, and Lincoln Counties, and the eastern portions of Elbert, Adams, Arapahoe, and Weld Counties. * WHEN...Until 10 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Strong thunderstorms with torrential rainfall will be possible in the Watch area late this afternoon and evening. Rainfall rates greater than 2 inches in just 30-45 minutes can be expected from the stronger storms.

    * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Eastern Adams County in northeastern Colorado... Southeastern Morgan County in northeastern Colorado... West Central Washington County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 745 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 537 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated the heavy rain was due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding continues in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Water will remain high in creeks over the next hour. Light rain will linger of the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Brush, Twelve-Mile Corner, Adena, Shamrock, Adena School, Woodrow, Gary, Leader and Hoyt.
