* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 10 feet and dangerous rip currents.
* WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, north facing reefs of the Marianas. For the High Rip Current Risk, north and east facing reefs.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Elevated long-period north to northeast swell, produced by distant mid-latitude frontal systems, will continue to produce hazardous surf along north facing reefs, and a high risk of rip currents along north and east facing reefs through at least Sunday afternoon. The long-period swells are gradually subsiding and surf is slowly decreasing, however, surf and rip risk will remain at elevated levels over the weekend, possibly hovering just below hazardous levels for north facing reefs.
