    * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of New Jersey, including the following counties, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, Sussex and Warren and Pennsylvania, including the following counties, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe and Northampton. * WHEN...Through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread showers and thunderstorms will move through this afternoon into tonight. Rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour are possible. Another round of heavy rain is anticipated on Wednesday afternoon and evening. This could further result in flash flooding and/or flooding of creeks and streams.     At 742 PM EDT, emergency management reported that PA-309 is impassable due to flooding across the roadway in the vicinity of Lanark and Hopewell Roads. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen in the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.understorms producing heavy rain in HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas. Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Easton, Bethlehem, Forks, Wilson, Hellertown, Alpha, Ferndale, West Easton, Milford, Bloomsbury, Riegelsville and Glendon. This includes the following highways... Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 2...and between mile markers 6 and 10. Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 62 and 76.
