Hail of 1 to 2 centimetres is also possible. Nautical activities may be hazardous due to sudden, severe wind gusts over bodies of water. ### Local utility outages are possible. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.     This afternoon and evening, conditions are favourable for the development of squalls with wind gusts of up to 50 knots, numerous lightning strikes and poor to very poor visibilities due to rain showers at times heavy. ### Proceed with caution as visibility may suddenly be reduced to near-zero.
