    Overland Flood Warning Update issued by Manitoba's Hydrologic Forecast Centre

    An Overland Flood Warning update is issued due to significant precipitation received June 7 and 8, resulting in minor to major flooding to areas in western Manitoba, including regions east of the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border, from Elkhorn to Barrows, extending to the northeast, including areas between McCreary and Moose Lake.

    Overland Flood Watch issued by Hydrologic Forecast Centre

    Another precipitation system is expected to move through Manitoba beginning the evening of June 9. 30-70mm of precipitation is expected for parts of western, southern and eastern Manitoba, including the Interlake Region, between June 9 and 12 with potential for localized amounts greater than 70mm. Heavy rainfall over a short period may lead to high surface runoff and overland flooding in affected areas.

    Significant precipitation in western Manitoba has caused water levels to exceed channel capacity in all areas along the Shell River, resulting in minor to major flooding. Water levels that have exceeded channel capacity can be expected to flood adjacent areas, agricultural fields and infrastructure in the area.
