Nautical activities may be hazardous due to sudden, severe wind gusts over bodies of water. ### Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain. Most regions are expected to receive between 50 and 80 millimetres of rain by Thursday morning.
