Yellow warning - rainfall - in effect Heavy rain is expected. A prolonged period of moderate to heavy rainfall is expected over northeastern Manitoba. Location: Northeastern Manitoba including Thompson, Island Lake, Gillam and Shamattawa. Rainfall total: Additional 20 to 30 mm by Sunday afternoon. Timing: Today through Sunday. Remarks: A stalled low pressure system over northeastern Manitoba will give moderate to heavy rainfall to portions of northeastern Manitoba. Total accumulations of 50 to 80 mm are forecast, but amounts will be variable. ### Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to rainfall amounts.
