    Another precipitation system is expected to move through Manitoba beginning the evening of June 9. 30-70mm of precipitation is expected for parts of western, southern and eastern Manitoba, including the Interlake Region, between June 9 and 12 with potential for localized amounts greater than 70mm. Heavy rainfall over a short period may lead to high surface runoff and overland flooding in affected areas.

    • Western, Southern, and Eastern Manitoba, including the Interlake Region
    • Be aware and exercise caution near waterways in the affected area. Do not attempt to cross fast flowing waters or waters of unknown depth. Avoid flooded areas.     High Wind Effect Warning

    This is a Manitoba Emergency Alert. The Hydrologic Forecast Centre has issued a high wind effect warning for Southern Manitoba, including areas near Lake Winnipeg, Lake Manitoba, and Lake Winnipegosis. High winds are expected across Lake Manitoba South Basin, Lake Winnipegosis, and Lake Winnipeg South Basin from June 12 to June 14, causing water levels to rise between 0.9 and 1.5 meters, with severe areas exceeding 1.5 meters. Significant and forceful wave action is anticipated throughout affected regions posing a potential threat to lakeside infrastructure and property.
