Periods of heavy rain continue. Locations: eastern and northeastern Newfoundland. Total rainfall: 40 to 50 mm, with locally higher amounts possible in areas of heaviest rain. Maximum wind gusts: northeasterly 60 km/h, except 80 along parts of the coast. Time span: gradually tapering off tonight.
