Pecatonica River at Freeport affecting Stephenson County. Rock River at Moline affecting Henry IL and Rock Island Counties. Rock River near Joslin affecting Henry IL, Rock Island and Whiteside Counties. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Rock River at Moline. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects South Shore Drive and North Shore Drive in Moline west of the 27th Street bridge. Water limits access to homes on South Shore Drive east of the I-74 bridge. Water also affects portions of 60th Street south of John Deere Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 14.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 12.2 feet Wednesday, April 29. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
