This is a Manitoba Emergency Alert. Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure's Hydrologic Forecast Centre has issued an Overland Flood Watch due to forecast precipitation for parts of Manitoba. A system may bring in excess of 80 mm of precipitation for parts of Western Manitoba on June 7 and 8. Heavy rainfall over a short period may lead to high surface runoff and overland flooding. Up-to-date information is available at www.gov.mb.ca/flooding and www.manitoba511.ca
Parts of Western Manitoba, including Swan River, Roblin, Dauphin, and Grand Rapids.
If you are in the affected area, be mindful of local waterways. Do not attempt to cross fast flowing waters or waters of unknown depth. Avoid flooded areas. Follow all directions by local authorities. Listen for updates. Take all necessary precautions to stay safe.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Hazards: Hail up to 3 cm in diameter Wind gusts of 90 km/h Locally heavy rainfall Timing: Late this afternoon and this evening. Additional informations: Scattered thunderstorms have developed north of a warm front over portions of southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba. ### Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
