Hazards: Torrential downpours with local rainfall totals near 50 mm. Strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h When: Late this evening and after midnight. Additional information: Thunderstorms over Manitoba and Minnesota will move into the area tonight. ### Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain. Yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 9:10 p.m. CDT (9:10 p.m. EST), a line of severe thunderstorms is located from about Fort Frances to Clearwater Bay then to 15 km northeast of Pointe du Bois. These severe thunderstorms are moving northeast at 50 km/h. Strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain are possible. Locations and nearby areas that could be impacted include: Sprague, Fort Frances, Kenora, Whitefish Bay Hazards: Local rainfall totals near 50 mm Strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h Pea to dime sized hail ### Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
