    * WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible. * WHERE...The following areas, Central Susitna Valley, Southern Susitna Valley and Western Susitna Valley. This includes the communities of Skwentna, Willow, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, And Petersville. * WHEN...From 9 PM AKDT this evening through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks, streams, low-lying and flood-prone locations will be possible as a prolonged period of rainfall is expected Wednesday night into Saturday morning. Storm drains and ditches may be clogged by ice. Flooding may occur in poor drainage areas. Frozen ground, patchy snow/ice melt with the lack of drainage, and excessive runoff may result in the flooding of creeks, streams, low-water crossings, and other low-lying areas and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An atmospheric river will bring ample rainfall up Cook Inlet and into the Susitna Valley over the next few days, beginning overnight Wednesday and lasting through Saturday morning. Expect 1 to 3 inches of rainfall total through the rest of this week with the highest amounts west of the Parks Highway. Forecast totals could be more variable toward the Willow area. The heaviest rainfall periods will likely occur tonight through Thursday morning, Thursday night into Friday morning, and then Friday night into Saturday. Rain is expected to taper off later Saturday, but lingering showers will be possible through the rest of this weekend into next week. - Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
