Historically high water volumes continue across much of the Cheboygan River basin. This Flood Warning addresses the high water levels affecting the Cheboygan River basin UPSTREAM of the Cheboygan Dam. * WHAT...Historic flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues. * WHERE...A portion of northern Michigan, including the following counties, Cheboygan and Emmet. * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT Wednesday Apr 29, or when water recedes. * IMPACTS...Historic flooding is occurring following recent heavy rainfall and snowmelt. Roads and structures near lakes and rivers will continue to see high water levels. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 518 PM EDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. - Little to no additional rainfall expected through Thursday before more rain chances build Friday into Saturday.
