    Squalls with wind gusts up to 50 knots, frequent lightning, hail of 1 to 2 centimetres and poor to very poor visibility in thunderstorms heavy at times are expected or occurring in the area. A line of severe thunderstorms approaching from Manitoba and Minnesota will move across the lake late this evening and after midnight. ### Proceed with caution as visibility may suddenly be reduced to near-zero.     Yellow watch - severe thunderstorm - in effect Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain. Hazards: Torrential downpours with local rainfall totals near 50 mm. Strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h When: Late this evening and after midnight. Additional information: Thunderstorms over Manitoba and Minnesota will move into the area tonight. ### Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.     Yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 8:32 p.m. CDT, a line of severe thunderstorms is located from Piney to Rennie then to Brightstone. These severe thunderstorms are moving east at 55 km/h. Damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and very heavy rain are possible. Locations and nearby areas that could be impacted include: Pinawa, Sprague, Lake of the Woods ### Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
