LOCALISED FLOODING OCCURRING IN THE NORTH KIMBERLEY The monsoon trough remains over the North Kimberley, with a weak tropical low located over the Northern Territory. Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the Kimberley river catchments over the past week. The catchment in the Flood Watch area remain wet from recent rainfall, and localised flooding is occurring in parts of the North Kimberley river catchments. Widespread showers are forecast to ease from late Saturday and into Sunday, but isolated embedded heavy falls remain possible across the North Kimberley coast until Sunday night. Further rainfall may lead to renewed river and creek level rises, along with prolonged overland flooding and ponding. Road access is likely to be affected, and some communities and homesteads may become isolated. Road conditions should be checked before travelling.
