Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from US-41 in Gurnee downstream to Townline Road in Vernon Hills, including the Gurnee gauge. * WHEN...Until Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Residences threatened along Kilbourne Road and near O'Plaine Road and McClure Avenue in Gurnee. Businesses threatened along Old Grand Avenue near IL-132 in Gurnee. IL-132 (Grand Avenue) is threatened east of the river in Gurnee. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to gradually fall through the week, and may fall below flood stage on Saturday. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
