This is a Manitoba Emergency Alert. Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure's Hydrologic Forecast Centre has issued an Overland Flood Watch due to forecast precipitation for parts of Manitoba. A system may bring in excess of 80 mm of precipitation for parts of Western Manitoba on June 7 and 8. Heavy rainfall over a short period may lead to high surface runoff and overland flooding. Yellow watch - severe thunderstorm - in effect Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Hazards: Hail up to 3 cm in diameter Wind gusts of 90 km/h Locally heavy rainfall Timing: This evening and overnight. Additional informations: Scattered thunderstorms have developed along a stationary front in southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba. More thunderstorms are expected to move into the region from Montana and North Dakota through the early overnight hours. ### Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
