FLOODING OCCURRING IN PARTS OF FLOOD WATCH AREA WITH FURTHER FLOODING POSSIBLE A tropical low is expected to begin to dissipate within a broad trough that will persist over the Top End in the next few days. Moderate to heavy falls are expected across the flood watch area, with heaviest rain most likely falling across the North West Coastal Rivers. Catchments in the Flood Watch area are saturated from recent rainfall which means that the moderate to heavy rain may produce renewed river level rises for some catchments or may prolong the current flooding. Rainfall may cause further significant water level rises in rivers and creeks as well as prolonged overland flooding and ponding. Roads may become impassable. Some communities and homesteads may become isolated. Check road conditions before travelling.
