Trees are still mostly green and fully leafed, causing them to be more vulnerable to damage from the strong winds. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong storm fall system moving into the western coast of Alaska will produce strong and gusty southerly winds moving up the Cook Inlet starting Tuesday afternoon and persisting into Wednesday morning. The strongest winds will be focused along the coast from Anchor Point north to Kenai and Nikiski. The gusty southerly winds will continue through late Wednesday morning before slowly diminishing Wednesday afternoon.
