The combination of several inches of snow and rapidly falling temperatures overnight has resulted in widespread hardpack and icy conditions on roads, even on major interstate routes. The icy and very slippery conditions will persist through the morning commute. Slow down and allow plenty of extra time to reach your destination. The high March sun angle should allow for improving conditions by midday as pavement temperatures warm.
