Grand River near Comstock Park affecting Kent County.
Muskegon River at Newaygo affecting Newaygo County.
.Another round of heavy rain fell across much of West-Central Lower Michigan. Rain totals of 1.0 - 1.5 inches occurred in parts of the Grand and Maple River basins, while 1.5 - 2.0 fell across the Muskegon River basin. As this water moves through the river systems, minor flooding is expected over the coming days.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Muskegon River at Newaygo.
* WHEN...From late tonight to early Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, The river starts exceeding its banks and minor flooding begins in low lying areas along the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Monday the stage was 10.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 11.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.1 feet on 12/30/1984. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
