    Prolonged atmospheric river event bringing periods of heavy rain on top of fallen snow. Where: - Whistler - Sea to Sky Highway What & When: - Periods of heavy rain from now to Wednesday with total amounts near 60 to 80 mm. Impacts: -Snow followed by heavy rain on snow combined with mountain snow melt may lead to very enhanced responses in river systems and potential for flooding. -Extensive water pooling on roads and washouts may occur. -Enhanced risk of landslides due to saturation of landscapes. Remarks: An atmospheric river will remain over the B.C. South Coast until Wednesday morning. Rain, at times heavy will continue until Wednesday morning. With freezing levels near 2200 metres, snowmelt may lead to very enhanced responses in river systems and potential for flooding. ### Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
