    At 548 PM MST, the public reported flash flooding across the warned area, including Ft. Apache Road. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Public reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Fort Apache, Seven Mile, Whiteriver Airport, Turkey Creek, Whiteriver, Canyon Day and East Fork. This includes State Route 73 between mile markers 334 and 340. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Turkey Creek, East Fork White River, West Turkey Creek, Nash Creek and Firebox Creek.

    • Gila, AZ; Navajo, AZ
    • Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

    * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...All of northern Arizona, including Apache, Navajo, Coconino, Yavapai and northern Gila counties. * WHEN...From late tonight through late Wednesday night. * IMPACTS...Flash flooding will be possible in creeks, normally dry washes, swimming holes, and over recently burned areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Increasing moisture will combine with a shortwave feature moving north across Arizona to bring multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms from late Tuesday night through Wednesday night. Thunderstorms will have the potential to produce heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding, especially in areas that receive repeated rounds of rainfall. - Additional information is available at weather.gov/flagstaff.
