...Warm, Dry and Windy Conditions Expected Tuesday...
.Dry conditions will continue across the region on Tuesday as westerly winds increase to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon, with frequent gusts over 35 mph. The winds, combined with continued very dry conditions will allow for the rapid spread and growth of any fires.
The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 10 AM MDT /11 AM CDT/ to 7 PM MDT /8 PM CDT/ Tuesday.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 001 Cheyenne KS, 079 Dundy and 252 Yuma.
* TIMING...From 10 AM MDT /11 AM CDT/ to 7 PM MDT /8 PM CDT/ Tuesday.
* WINDS...Northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control.
