    The National Weather Service in Denver CO has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect from noon to 7 PM MDT Wednesday. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 212, 214, 217, and 218. * TIMING...From noon to 7 PM MDT Wednesday. * WINDS...West 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Between 7 to 17 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire.

    • Follow all fire restrictions. Avoid activities that can cause sparks and do not park hot vehicles on dry vegetation. One less spark, one less wildfire. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

    The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued the following... WHAT...Action Day for Multiple Pollutants. WHERE...Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties WHEN...400 PM Monday August 03 to 400 PM Tuesday August 04 IMPACTS...Action Day for Multiple Pollutants is now in effect for the Front Range Urban Corridor. Increasing wildfire smoke will result in fine particulate concentrations reaching the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category throughout the northern Front Range region. Additionally, ozone could reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category during the afternoons and evenings. For Colorado air quality conditions, forecasts, and advisories, visit: https://www.colorado.gov/airquality/colorado_summary.aspx If possible, please help us reduce ozone pollution by limiting driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles until at least 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
