Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rounds of showers and storms are expected through tonight. These storms will be capable of rainfall rates between 1 to 2 inches per hour. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are likely in the hardest hit areas through early Sunday morning with the potential for localized areas of 3+ inches.

At 554 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen with the heaviest amounts occurring in central Jo Daviess county between Schapville and Woodbine. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Dubuque, Freeport, Galena, Asbury, Dyersville, Lena, Bellevue, Cascade, Stockton, Epworth, East Dubuque, Farley, Warren, Peosta, Hanover, Pearl City, Elizabeth, Cedarville, Davis and Woodbine.
