For the Cache River...including Patterson...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Cache River near Patterson. * WHEN...Until Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Low swampy timberland along the river begins to flood. At 9.0 feet, Low swampy timberland along the river begins to flood. Flood gates should be closed and equipment moved out of the low grounds along the river and tributaries. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:15 PM CDT Friday was 9.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.1 feet just after midnight tonight (September 19). the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
