    * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...The following areas: Central Susitna Valley and Western Susitna Valley. This includes Petersville, Cache Creek, Talkeetna, and communities along the Yentna and Skwentna Rivers. * WHEN...From Tuesday morning through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Significant rainfall is expected in the Susitna Valley Monday August 3 through Wednesday August 5. Current estimates is for 48-hr rain totals to range from 3 to 5 inches in the upper Yentna, Chulitna and Susitna Basins. Talkeetna: The heavy rainfall and drainage from high terrain near the Alaska Range could be impactful to erosion-prone areas and low-lying or poor-drainage areas throughout the rest of the Susitna Valley. Small rivers such as Montana Creek are expected to rise as well, but not to the level that occurred in late July. Petersville Area: Small creeks in and around Petersville such as Peters Creek and Cache Creek could experience flooding, with the highest water levels expected between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning. Yentna: Larger rivers, including the Yentna and Skwentna rivers, are expected to crest later, between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. - Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
