On March 18, crews will be completing scheduled maintenance on the satellite network that supports SaskTel Landline Phone services (Home Phone and Business Phone) in Uranium City.
As a result of this work, SaskTel Landline services will be unavailable for approximately eight hours in and around the community. While crews will work as quickly as possible, the exact timing of the interruption and restoration cannot be confirmed in advance.

During the outage, residents who require emergency assistance should physically contact another person for help, visit the local health clinic, or travel to the nearest RCMP detachment. While outages like this are rare, they underscore the importance of having access to back up communications options, such as a satellite phone or satellite broadband connection, as a secondary means of communication.
