Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected. Locations: Mount Carleton - Renous Highway, Miramichi, Kent County. Freezing rain and Ice Pellet duration: 10 to 12 hours. Total freezing rain amounts: 4 to 8 mm. Total ice pellet amounts: 2 to 4 cm. Time span: Early this afternoon until Saturday morning. Remarks: A prolonged period of ice pellets mixed with freezing rain is expected to occur in the Miramichi, Kent County and Mount Carleton regions. Precipitation is expected to begin this morning as snow, then quickly transition into ice pellets at times freezing rain. A prolonged period of ice pellets can make driving difficult at times, especially on hilly roads. ### Roads and walkways may become icy and slippery. There is risk of injury due to slips and falls.
