    到: 2026-03-17, 12:03

Snow squalls are expected. Under the snow squall bands, visibility will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, and snow will quickly accumulate. What: Snow squalls coming in off Georgian Bay. Local snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 cm. Near zero visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow. Wind gusts to 60 or 70 km/h. When: Starting near midnight then ending early Tuesday evening Additional Information: Snow squalls off Georgian Bay will be accompanied by westerly to northwesterly winds gusting near 70 km/h. Hazardous travel conditions including near zero visibilities as a result of heavy snow and blowing snow are expected. Latest computer models suggest the strongest snow squall will come in off Georgian Bay between Meaford and Wasaga Beach and may extend inland as far as Barrie. Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour are possible. If this snow squall can lock in for a few hours, local snowfall amounts may exceed 30 centimetres. Conditions are expected to slowly improve beginning late Tuesday afternoon. ### Travel will likely be hazardous. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Road closures are possible. Local utility outages are possible. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
