Taylor County in northern West Virginia... * WHEN...Until 930 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 527 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clarksburg, Grafton, Philippi, Audra State Park, Bridgeport, Shinnston, Belington, Stonewood, Nutter Fort, Lumberport, Anmoore, Enterprise, West Milford, Junior, Lost Creek, Flemington, Galloway, Rosemont, Meadland and Century. - This includes the following highways... For the Tygart Valley River...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Tygart Valley River at Belington. * WHEN...From Wednesday morning to late Wednesday night. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Some basements begin to flood due to sewers backing up. At 14.0 feet, Intersection of Talbott Road and Wasbash Road flood. At 15.0 feet, Small bridge on Willow Street floods due to backwater into Mill Creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 9.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 15.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
