For the Des Plaines River...including Des Plaines, Russell, Lincolnshire, Gurnee...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from Palatine Road in Prospect Heights downstream to Irving Park Road in Chicago, including the Des Plaines gauge. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, Big Bend Road threatened in Des Plaines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The river stage crested overnight and has begun a slow fall. - Forecast...The river is expected to continue to gradually fall over the next few days. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
