    Accumulating snow is expected.

    Locations: eastern Avalon Peninsula, including St. John's.

    Total snowfall: generally 8 to 12 cm, with locally higher amounts possible.

    Time span: overnight tonight through late Friday morning.

    Remarks: A low pressure system passing east of the region will bring a period of steady snowfall. Rates may reach up to 2 cm per hour for a few hours, including during the Friday morning commute.

    Snow accumulation may result in hazardous travel conditions. Roads and walkways could become slippery and difficult to navigate.
