    ...Scattered dry and wet thunderstorms develop on Friday... .An upper level low will inject elevated moisture to the region by Friday morning. Storms will track towards the north through the day. A mix of dry and wet storms will provide abundant lightning to the region through Friday evening. The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 8 AM to 7 PM PDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * IMPACTS...Abundant lightning on dry fuels will likely create new ignitions across the region. Any fires that develop could spread rapidly. Numerous new fire starts could overwhelm initial attack. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 280,281,284 and 285 in California. The majority of Siskiyou and Modoc Counties. * THUNDERSTORMS...Moving north around 20 to 25 mph. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * CHANGES...The Fire Weather Watch has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning. * Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 270 Surprise Valley California, Fire Weather Zone 278 Eastern Lassen County, Fire Weather Zone 458 Northern Washoe County. * Thunderstorms...Isolated dry lightning will be possible Friday morning before thunderstorm coverage increases Friday afternoon. * Outflow Winds...Gusty and erratic thunderstorm outflow winds, even well away from rain cores. Gusts to around 50 mph possible. * Impacts...Lightning can create new fire starts and may combine with strong outflow winds to cause a fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders can contain them.
