Winds will be strongest this morning through the early afternoon, and again tonight through early Wednesday afternoon. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15-20 percent. Relative humidity values will be lowest this afternoon and Wednesday afternoon. Poor overnight humidity recoveries are expected with maximum relative humidity values ranging between 35-45%. * IMPACTS...Conditions may be favorable for rapid fire spread which may threaten life and property. Use extra caution with potential ignition sources, especially in grassy areas. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

However, temperatures will still be hot enough to bring an increased risk of heat-related illnesses even if temperatures are dampened a few degrees from smoke.

The Southwest Clean Air Agency has issued an Air Quality Advisory for Clark County. An Air Quality Advisory for smoke and ozone has been issued. Wildfires burning in the region combined with forecasted conditions will cause air quality to reach unhealthy levels at times. The Air Quality Advisory for smoke is in effect until further notice. The Air Quality Advisory for ozone is in effect from noon Tuesday through Thursday. Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes, runny nose, aggravate heart and lung diseases, and aggravate other serious health problems. Limit outdoor activities and keep children indoors if it is smoky. Please follow medical advice if you have a heart or lung condition.
