    * WHERE...Portions of northern New York and central, northeast, and northwest Vermont.

    * WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT this evening.

    * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

    Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour is causing very poor visibility in the northern Champlain Valley and snow covered roads. Wet snowfall has proven greasy, and several accidents have been reported. Heavy snowfall rates are expected to last one to two more hours across the northern Champlain Valley before conditions will quickly improve. Delay travel if possible to wait for heaviest snow to exit the area. If you are traveling, give plenty of speeds and allow extra time to reach your destination.
