Relative humidity values will be lowest Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon. Poor overnight humidity recoveries are expected Tuesday night with maximum relative humidity values ranging between 35-45%. * IMPACTS...Conditions may be favorable for rapid fire spread which may threaten life and property. However, temperatures will still be hot enough to bring an increased risk of heat-related illnesses even if temperatures are dampened a few degrees from smoke.

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the Portland metro and eastern Clackamas County, which is in effect until further notice. An Air Quality Advisory for smoke has been issued. Wildfires burning in the region combined with forecasted conditions will cause air quality to reach unhealthy levels at times until further notice. Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes, runny nose, aggravate heart and lung diseases, and aggravate other serious health problems.
