    ...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED IN THE WESTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR DRY CONDITIONS AND EASTERLY WINDS UP TO 40 MPH... * AFFECTED AREA...In Washington, Fire Weather Zone 636 Western Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and Washington. * WINDS...East 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Winds will be strongest Tuesday morning through early Tuesday afternoon, and again Tuesday night through early Wednesday afternoon. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15-20 percent. Relative humidity values will be lowest Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon. Poor overnight humidity recoveries are expected Tuesday night with maximum relative humidity values ranging between 35-45%. * IMPACTS...Conditions may be favorable for rapid fire spread which may threaten life and property. Use extra caution with potential ignition sources, especially in grassy areas. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

    * WHAT...Afternoon high temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees and morning low temperatures of 60 to 65 degrees expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Oregon and southwest Washington. * WHEN...From noon Tuesday to 11 PM PDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wildfire smoke is beginning to increase west of the Cascades over far northwest Oregon and southwest Washington, which may limit high temperatures by approximately 1-3 degrees. However, temperatures will still be hot enough to bring an increased risk of heat-related illnesses even if temperatures are dampened a few degrees from smoke.
