    Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain. What: Wind gusts of 100 km/h. Total rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 mm over a few locations. Risk of tornadoes. When: This evening, possibly continuing after midnight. Additional information: Showers are expected to intensify as a strong low pressure system approaches the area. Strong winds and heavy rain are possible with thunderstorms along with the risk of tornadoes. ### Utility outages are possible. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
