Areas of fog, locally dense with visibilities as low as 1/4 mile, will persist into the early morning hours. The foggy conditions should improve as widespread showers and thunderstorms move through. Drier air will also arrive with the passage of a cold front overnight, and this should also help mix out the fog. If traveling tonight, expect rapidly changing or poor visibilities for the next few hours. Make sure to use the low beam setting on headlights and keep a safe distance from other vehicles.
